Circle of Friends
Today I am looking back to our time in Nova Scotia. It has been a year and a half since we were there but NS stays freshly imprinted on my brain. I want get back there to the sea, smells, and the vistas...not to mention the lobster and beer! I often think, when I do go back can we repeat the trip. will it be as inspirational the second time around? I can only hope.... okay...enough babbling. As you might have guessed this is a shot from Pleasant Bay on Cape Breton, NS. I only had to go right outside my motel room to capture this cicular group of tress on the coast. This was late afternoon and the clouds as you can see were rolling in. I liked the feel to the shot and the ole saying "a circle of friends" comes to mind everytime I view this photo.
As for Techno Talk, I took three exposures of the scene to create an HDR. HDR means High Density Resolution. (there is a quiz on this next Tuesday!) The HDR technique was first shown to me by my old friend Bill Monty. Willie Mont, you are gone but not forgotten. HDR allows you to stack three or more exposures in a software and blend them together which will bring out all the details in the shadows. It allows you to change the tones and saturate the colors. It sounds more complicated than it really is. If you are interested in this type of technique I would be glad to tell you more...just send me an email. This photo is perfect for the weekend we are going to have (according to the weather girls:) They are so much better than weather men! Anyways....be safe all hope you enjoy the shot and ingnore my typing or spelling errors:-)
