Adding Textures To Photos...Hotel Tulips
Well this old dog has a few new tricks left in him. I have been wanting to learn how to add textures to a shot for some time now and I think I am getting the hang of it. I recently bought some textures from a site called Flypaper ( http://flypapertextures.blogspot.com/ ) and have actually been successful in adding and subtracting the textures. I even learned how to use masking in the process. The only problem is that once you get started it is hard to stop. This shot was really taken in a hotel room after my wife borrowed the tulips from a wedding we has attended. The light was perfect and I shot these poor tulips until the sun went down! The added to the warm light and I removed it from the two tulips on the right to get it a tad of bright color. The textures also helped with the counter the vase was on. It is now blended better into the background. Hope all the millions of CLP fans are doing well!
